OUR FARMERS

Union Hill Farms

While the supermarkets truck their produce in from all over the country, Union Hill Farms offers vegetables that have been harvested right in Denville. Grown fresh on their farm is an assortment of fruits, vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes, sugarsnap peas, beets, carrots and lettuces and flowers. Union Hill Farms also features a variety of homemade jellies, jams and preserves, and in the fall you can look forward to pumpkins, hay, and corn stalks.

Melick's Town Farm

Since 1745, the Melick family has provided the community with delicious, locally grown fruits and vegetables. Melick's Town Farm is the largest fruit grower in Central and Northern New Jersey, with more than 20,000 apple trees and 5,000 peach trees. And while the orchards cover nearly 120 acres of land, they have 650 acres to grow a wide variety of Jersey Fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Circle Brook Organic Farm

Formerly know as Starbrite Organic Farm, Circle Brook is a diversified, certified organic, vegetable farm. They grow virtually every type of produce that is possible in the New Jersey climate- from arugula to zucchini. Included in the planting list are several heirloom varieties, and many unique fruits and vegetables like Japanese salad turnips, ground cherries (cape gooseberries), white sweet potatoes, multi-colored carrots and lettuces and greens you will never find in the supermarket.

Jersey City Fish Stand

Jersey City Fish Stand brings high-quality seafood to the Downtown market that is either wild caught or organically grown. Their menu changes daily, be sure to check their website.

Pickle-Licious

Teaneck's Pickle-Licious specializes in pickles (of course!) sold by the gallon, quart, pint, or the farm market favorite pickle-on-a-stick. But they are also famous for their olives, homemade tapenades, stuffed grape leaves, marinated artichokes and hummus. Free samples are always available!
